$1B expansion will be delivered over the next 5 years and organised into 4 major work streams
- Northern Infill: This $380m, 16,00sqm expansion of Terminal 2
- Pier C Swing Gates – $160m conversion of 3 existing Domestic Gates within Pier C to International Swing Gates
- International Satellite Expansion – 30,000sqm, $440m extension to the international concourse
- $120m Expansion and Upgrade of Terminal 3
- Terminal 3/4 Baggage System and Security Upgrade.
Melbourne Airport is embarking on a significant Terminal expansion and upgrade program. This precinct wide upgrade program of the operational airport involves all aspects for the terminal such as expansion of the international terminal concourse including new airline lounges, expanded duty free, food and beverage concessions.
The program also includes upgrade of key Aeronautical assets to improve the Airports operating capacity including conversion of existing domestic gates into swing gates with a new connection to the international terminal, upgrade of passenger and baggage screening and expansion of the baggage reconfiguration of existing international gates and new TSA compliant Gate lounges
The Terminals Program is the first time Melbourne Airport have bundled together tranches of projects together as a program. Turner & Townsend is assisting APAM develop it’s Program Management approach
This Program will be delivered whilst maintaining existing international operations. Koah developing a Work packaging and Delivery Strategy to ensure minimal impact of airport operations.
